Today, 14th October 2015, we celebrate the feast of Saint Parascheva of Iasi, the largest religious celebration in our country.

Each year, the pilgrims begin to take over the city about a week before the actual feast, and they come from all over the country and the world to worship the holy relics of Saint Parascheva and of the saints which are her ‘guests’.

This year, the Metropolitanate of Moldavia and Bukovina received - for the pilgrims to venerate - the holy right hand of Saint Mary Magdalene and a small fragment of the Holy Cross of Christ, from Simonos Petras Monastery (from Athos the Holy Mountain), and the holy relics of Saint John Chrysostom, from Bucharest.
