All steps to God are counted by angels

While he was going to seek water day after day, the old man wondered “why should I do this painful effort every day? I’d rather move my shelter close to the stream of water, so I spare myself the effort”. But while we was thinking all this, he felt the presence of somebody behind him, following his steps. He stopped and waited for the person to come closer. The old man asked: “Who are you?”

An elderly man was living in the desert, 12 miles far from any source of water. And while he was going to seek water day after day, the old man wondered “why should I do this painful effort every day? I’d rather move my shelter close to the stream of water, so I spare myself the effort”. But while we was thinking all this, he felt the presence of somebody behind him, following his steps. He stopped and waited for the person to come closer. The old man asked: “Who are you?” And then he heard “I am the angel of God and I was sent to count your steps. And the more steps you make the bigger will be God’s reward.” Hearing this, the elder moved his shelter another five miles further from the source of water, so that he will receive a bigger reward.
