Do not Hide God’s Wonders but Share Them!
Do not speak about them with idleness, because that will bring your condemnation. Rather, seek the path leading to the Benefactor of mankind, go and greet Him, and fear not. We bring this gift to God, not by looking down, but rather seeking the heights of heaven.
Bear in mind where from the people has its wisdom! Because it, the people, seeing Lazarus resurrected from the death, did not hide the miracle but shared it with everybody preaching the truth. And again, hearing about this miracle, the people did not stay at home, but rushed towards Jesus and Lazarus, to see him and embrace Jesus Himself and praise Him with a pure heart as the benefactor of mankind.
Thus, my beloved ones we shall do no different than the people did: do not seek to hide God’s wonders but share them with everybody! Do not speak about them with idleness, because that will bring your condemnation. Rather, seek the path leading to the Benefactor of mankind, go and greet Him, and fear not. We bring this gift to God, not by looking down, but rather seeking the heights of heaven.
There is where our thought should be. Our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20). And again “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). What should we understand from this commandment? St Paul, the great herald of Truth said: “To Him we shall obey and we will not stumble upon any earthly things, but will all go in heaven”.
