Being asked by a young man about the way in which he should choose a life partner or the criteria for recognising his ‘soul mate’, Saint Paisios of Mount Athos said ‘try to find a good girl that offers you spiritual rest, for everyone rests in another’s character.’

And that feeling of ‘rest’ or ‘peace’ is not restrained only for the body, but concerns the soul in particular, thus covering the entire human existence.
