We may say that any faculty of the human spirit (intelligence, freedom, love, creation) reflect the image of God.

Analysing the rich reasoning of the Fathers, we may say that any faculty of the human spirit (intelligence, freedom, love, creation) reflects the image of God, which represents in essence, the entire humanity focused on spirituality. By definition, a characteristic of our image is to throw itself in the infinity of God in order to find the fulfilment of its longing. Being holy is nothing more than the unquenchable thirst of finding God. St. Gregory of Nyssa teaches us that any boundaries have in their essence something beyond, their own transcendence. This is why our soul can only rest in the actual infinity of God. Saints are longing sprits.
