Nothing on this world is more precious than the eyes and the light of the sun. I mention them both because one without the other has no value. Without the light of the sun our eyes would not mean anything, would be useless. But also, without the eyes, the light of sun would be wasted for nothing. A blind man cannot make use of the gift of sun and its light.

This is also the case in the spiritual world. The most precious gift for our spiritual life is the light of Christ, the light of life. But for this gift we need to have spiritual eyes and spiritual sight. Without them, the light of Christ has no meaning to us.
