Offer bread and receive heaven
Give to the poor and in the hour of your death you will be silent numerous mouths will defend you; for your alms will be there and testify for your salvation.
The sky is a trade and we are not diligent. Give small things and receive the big ones. Give corruptible things and take the incorruptible ones. If there were a fair, where you could find many cheap things, wouldn’t you sell everything you have, wouldn’t you do everything that you can to buy those goods?
Thus, how is that for the corruptible ones you are so eager and for the incorruptible you are lazy and you don’t care? Give to the poor and in the hour of your death if you will be silent numerous mouths will defend you; for your alms will be there and testify for your salvation.
