How to Benefit from Fasting?
24 Feb 2016
If you see a poor man have mercy on him. If you see a beautiful woman, do not taint your heart with this thought. Not only your mouth should be fasting but also your eyes and ears, feet, hands and all the limbs of your body
Why are Some Good Deeds Useless?
24 Feb 2016
When people restrain themselves from food but are gossiping and envy someone, it is considered a sin. What is the use of the bodily fasting if we ignore the spiritual fasting? What is the use of helping others if we amass fortune by stealing? What is the use of good deeds if we are proud? We are mixing good deeds with vainglory. The devil wins again. Good Deeds Without Humbleness Are of No Use!
27 Jan 2016
Humbleness is as useful as the salt added in food, and can overcome the power of many sins. You don’t get to heaven on your own but living in communion
18 Nov 2015
Loneliness isolates you, makes you helpless, and prevents your spirit to enjoy the good things of this world, especially those of the spiritual world, while life in community saves you from many difficult situations. Nobody achieves salvation on their own, not even the monks, or priests or good Christians. All of us achieve salvation in community, in the bosom of Christ’s Church and we all are responsible of the others.
Without self-sacrifice there is no salvation
29 Oct 2015
Usually, when it comes about himself, man is always unfair and changes the scale; he is more rightful towards himself, he chooses the better, the biggest, and the most beautiful part: he cries and rejoices for himself more than for others. But, Christ crucified on the Cross the love for oneself, and gave His life for us.
