We are the house of Christ, His field. The light of God, given to us in abundance through the Holy Mysteries and services, personal prayer, Jesus’ prayer and the study of patristic books, they all aim towards the same target: to make out of us a durable house. Always be attentive to yourself. There used to be on this world beautiful buildings, wonderful sites and monasteries that came apart. Why do you think this happened? Because there no longer were rightful men to live in them.

Therefore, through the help of God’s grace and intervention of the saints, let’s make a bigger effort to fashion ourselves. Saints pray for us in heaven and interfere for us, but we should also make an effort to build our spiritual house on healthy, durable and untainted and holy grounds, not on shallow ones, weak and ready to fall apart. No! On healthy, durable and untainted and holy grounds. Let’s work diligently, honestly and devotion!
