True prayer for your neighbour should be accompanied by sorrow and sacrifice. Because only this sacrifice will open your path to God and Christ, the One Who offered us the power of His Sacrifice. In order to partake with God, Who is mercy and love, you have to be consumed by the mercy and pity for your neighbour in God and in that person.

Only by the sensibility of sacrifice and pity for your neighbour you can have access to divinity, a merciful fragrance of love itself.

In Orthodoxy there is a form of permanent prayer, the heart’s prayer on the altar of your heart and of the sensibility filled with love and Christ.
