The important work of raising a child is the duty of the parents, inside the family, and especially the duty of the mother since she is the one who spends more time with them and teaches them the first steps in life, the first words.

It is clear that a good children education is by excellence the work of the mother, who watches upon the good education and the development of the child’s behaviour, especially concerning the salvation of his soul. It is an important work, an art, and there is nothing that can be compared to it. “There is no greater art that this one. For what can be finer than refining the soul and moulding the mind of a child?” Saint John Chrysostom wonders.
